Pool Table Cleaning Methods:
1. Both the British-made Shichuang 6811 cloth and Spanish-made billiard cloth are woven with fibers running in two directions: with the grain and against the grain (which can be distinguished by touching the surface with your hand). When dusting, hold a soft-bristle brush firmly and pull it in straight lines along the direction of the grain; do not pull back or make circular motions.
2. For the area where the cushion meets the playing surface, use the tip of a soft-bristle brush to pull in straight lines along the grain.
3. The pile on domestically produced cloth has no specific direction, but when dusting, it is best to move the brush in a single direction.
4. Clean the cloth 1–2 times daily; it is best to iron it once in the direction of the pile.
Another very important point to note is that no liquids should be spilled on the cloth, especially sugary liquids such as beer or soft drinks, as this will cause the cloth to harden and shorten its lifespan.
